Birhane Worede dynamic figurative paintings are kinetic and lively. His work is imbued with a strong sense of movement consistent with his background in contemporary dance. Describing his practice as “psychology in visual form,” for Woledeyesus painting is a reflective process. As a child artmaking was a way to escape to other worlds, today painting is the way he contends with the world around him. Woledeyesus lives and works in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. He graduated from Addis Ababa University’s Ale School of Fine Arts with highest honors in painting in 2021. Black Soliloquy marks Woledeyesus’s debut exhibition outside of his home country.

Omari Booker is a visual artist based in Los Angeles, CA and Nashville, TN. He began his journey as an artist his senior year of high school at Montgomery Bell Academy. While attending Belmont University, Omari studied mathematics before  focusing on studio art and graphic design. He later earned his B.S. in Graphic Design from Tennessee State University.  The philosophy that undergirds Omari’s work is freedom through art, and he aspires to create work that communicates to his audience their unique and intrinsic ability to be free.
