Where I Come From: Theresah Ankomah

In partnership with Memphis in May’s international salute to the Republic of Ghana, Urevbu Contemporary is pleased to present Where I Come From, a solo exhibition featuring the recent creations of Theresah Ankomah. The exhibition showcases the most recent creations of Theresah Ankomah, a Ghanaian artist from Accra whose amalgamation of the techniques of painting, printmaking, and weaving create bold, colorful works that reflect her origins and story.
Theresah’s exhibit invites viewers to a visual re-discovery of color, a reconsideration of gender norms, family, consumerism, and sustainability.
The gallery will open its doors for the view of the new exhibit from May 5th - May 31st, and our opening reception will take place on May 7th, 2022. Save the date and we look forward to seeing you soon!
