Born in 1993, Romeo Temwa is originally from the far north of Cameroon and currently lives and works in Douala. After obtaining his Bachelor's degree in 2011, Temwa entered the Institute of Fine Arts in Foumban and later graduated. This momentum allowed him to perfect his skills while spending more in the studio.
Since 2015, he has participated in several exhibitions and artistic residencies. His work questions the socio-media realities, focusing on the parameters of manipulation traced back to the news media. Taking as a starting point the book "Silent Weapons for Quiet War" by NOAM CHOMSKY, Temwa explores the mechanisms of control of the opinion by means of information of various nature in an unstable social context.
Temwa's artworks are in collections in France, Senegal and the United States.
